Our 1st Must Eat Chicken When You Visit Korea: Norang Tongdak

 

 

Our first Korean Food post is the famous Korean fried chicken, a must-eat for everyone who loves hot and crispy fried foods.

It's called Norang Tongdak(Yello Chicken/노랑통닭)

 

Norang Tongdak has 3 flavors with their fried chickens,

the first one to introduce is the basic; "Fried" menu.

This menu is literally called "Fried" chicken!

 

 

Norang Tongdak's Fried Chicken may feel less crispy if you try it right at the restaurant's table

 because of the steam from the fresh fried chicken.

But don't worry, after a few bites with a small chat with your friends

your chicken will cool down a little just enough to give you the best crispy flavor.

 

 

The second and third flavors are Yangnyum Chicken(Spiced Chicken/양념치킨)

and Kkanpung Chicken(Spicy Soy Sauce Chicken/깐풍치킨).

Kkanpung Chicken is fried with soy sause and spicy seasonings.

It's the best menu for those who enjoys a spicy taste!

When Kkanpung Chicken feels too spicy you can always ease it down

by having the basic Fried Chicken or the salad that comes with the Chicken.

 

 

 

 

 

FYI, Norang Tongdak lets you choose the bone option of your Chicken.

You can have your chicken with or without the bones,

and the good news is that Norang Tongdak doesn't charge you any extra costs for the bone options!

Though we tend to say real chicken should come with a bone,

we don't want anything to disturb you enjoying Korean Chicken

so if it's your first time, we recommend Sunsal(boneless) option.

 

 

 

One of the good stuff about Korea is that we have so many good, cheap accomodations everywhere.

If you're staying at one of the motels, delivery is another easy way of enjoying your chicken.

You can use delivery system to order almost EVERY food in Korea.

It's all simple; find a nearby convenient store to get a spicy ramyun(noodle),

order a Norang Tongdak delivery service to your motel room and have them together!

You've just made yourself a Korean citizen.

깐풍치킨의 살짝 매콤한 맛은 기름에 튀겨 느끼할법한 맛을

매콤한맛으로 싸악 넘겨주기 때문에 무척 훌륭해요

I order Norang Tongdak a lot 'cause it's one of my favorite chicken franchise,

and I always order it half-Kkanpung, half-Fried(basic).

It's the best combination so far, the balance between Kkanpung Chicken's spiciness and the basic Fried Chicken is perfect!

 

 

If you choose to eat in instead of ordering delivery, they also give you the Salad and Chicken Moo(Pickled radish)

I strongly believe that Korean chicken is the best chicken in the entire world

It's not because I'm Korean!

From the sauces, numerous franchise brands, hundreds of menus; it's just right!

One small thing is that it's rather pricey.
