Kongduk Stations Cafe "THANKS" Black Cat and Pinkvely Cat Cube Breads. In LOVE!

Hi everyone! It's Ginny here :D

These days I'm hunting down every pretty cafes around Seoul!

Kongduk Station is one of the places with super cute cafes.

Still I didn't want to choose one JUST because they look fancy from the outside,

so I searched up on instagram "Kongduk Station Cafe" in attempt to find one pretty AND tasty.

"Cafe THANKS"

Outerior was really vintage-like, which grabbed my attention for sure!

I did walk past this cafe before and had to remember the name.. ;)

And now it's also big on instagram?! Count me in already.

Although I kinda felt like they didn't have many seats, I was still happy.

It was neat, decent AND had loads of electric sockets.

It is super important you know, since I happen to take my laptop everywhere :P

Anyways, I loved this place!

Cafe THANKS is a good place to mingle in the afternoons and get yourself chilled.

Melon Shake

These are absolutely. Adorable. Really!

The sweet flavor here was just right and lovely.

I just had to blog this place, thought it'd be nice if I could let everyone know about this place :)

"THANKS" Cream Latte,

They recommended that I drink it without a straw.

It had this sweet lovely coffee flavor, which was super satisfying.

I DID manage to treat myself this day :D (rather too well..?)

It's made with premium organic milk and top roaster's coffee beens.

Chewy, creamy and glamorous flavor!

Topped off with homemade fresh cream and pink salt.

Yall should all know we have this vibe for "Dan Zan" hype right? :D

The harmony of sweetness and a little bit of saltiness was just gorgeous!

Of course I couldn't miss out the carbohydrates. Ha

I also ordered Cat Bread; Black Cat Bread and Pinkvely Cat Bread.

AND this Melon Shake!

Everyone should definitely try this. Twice. Couple of times.

If you love Melon you'll certainly love this adorable beverage.

Seriously LOADS of melon chunks on top,

and as soon as you finish off your melon chunks you can also take it out straight away.

Literally the best Melon Shake ever.

Now time to cut down on these cubed breads!

I got curious at first though, cause I couldn't see the chocolate melt anywhere.  

Then nope. Just keep slicing!

LOVE the chocolate melts. You see I immediately took a massive bite there :)

Super genuine chocolate!

The bread was so soft, and the chocolate's just AMAZING.

I once got interest in baking and baked plenty of bread back at home,

and believe me this texture is not something you get daily.

Back to the dearest Melon Shake.

Again, loads and loads of melon chunks :D

Just staring makes me happy!

You know I just had to finish those off...

TOO. GOOD.

Underneath all those chunks there's fine blend of sweet Melon Shake.

It kinda took me ages to finish off the chunks on top(since there's.. loads)

and still it hasn't melted a bit! What a lovely condition.

Would love to give everyone a sip,

this shake tastes similar to Melona Popsicle.. only better.

The smoothie-like texture is soooo good.

Pinkvely Cat Cube Bread!

This bread tastes like a slightly spicy Pizza.

Visually lovely, and satisfying taste-wise!

Have it when it's warm enough, which makes it even better.

Cutting in half, witnessing ham chunks and sloppy chesse.

The lovely pink color of the bread is from the Beetroots.

There's also halapeno and red pepper inside, adding a really nice spicy kick to it.

There's also savoury cream cheese, pineapple and Mozzarella cheese inside!

The whole combination is lovely.

Exclusive from Cafe THANKS, these breads just made my day :D

Definitely coming back to have a go at the other breads here!

THANKS Cream Latte looks similar to Starbucks' cherry blossom latte,

but the taste is totally different.

No artificial cherry blossom scents, and the taste; nice, sweet milky coffee.

Our 1st Must Eat Chicken When You Visit Korea: Norang Tongdak

 

 

Our first Korean Food post is the famous Korean fried chicken, a must-eat for everyone who loves hot and crispy fried foods.

It's called Norang Tongdak(Yello Chicken/노랑통닭)

 

Norang Tongdak has 3 flavors with their fried chickens,

the first one to introduce is the basic; "Fried" menu.

This menu is literally called "Fried" chicken!

 

 

Norang Tongdak's Fried Chicken may feel less crispy if you try it right at the restaurant's table

 because of the steam from the fresh fried chicken.

But don't worry, after a few bites with a small chat with your friends

your chicken will cool down a little just enough to give you the best crispy flavor.

 

 

The second and third flavors are Yangnyum Chicken(Spiced Chicken/양념치킨)

and Kkanpung Chicken(Spicy Soy Sauce Chicken/깐풍치킨).

Kkanpung Chicken is fried with soy sause and spicy seasonings.

It's the best menu for those who enjoys a spicy taste!

When Kkanpung Chicken feels too spicy you can always ease it down

by having the basic Fried Chicken or the salad that comes with the Chicken.

 

 

 

 

 

FYI, Norang Tongdak lets you choose the bone option of your Chicken.

You can have your chicken with or without the bones,

and the good news is that Norang Tongdak doesn't charge you any extra costs for the bone options!

Though we tend to say real chicken should come with a bone,

we don't want anything to disturb you enjoying Korean Chicken

so if it's your first time, we recommend Sunsal(boneless) option.

 

 

 

One of the good stuff about Korea is that we have so many good, cheap accomodations everywhere.

If you're staying at one of the motels, delivery is another easy way of enjoying your chicken.

You can use delivery system to order almost EVERY food in Korea.

It's all simple; find a nearby convenient store to get a spicy ramyun(noodle),

order a Norang Tongdak delivery service to your motel room and have them together!

You've just made yourself a Korean citizen.

제가 노랑통닭을 좋아하는 편이라 정말 자주 먹는데

깐풍치킨과 후라이드 반반을 항상 먹어요

깐풍치킨의 살짝 매콤한 맛은 기름에 튀겨 느끼할법한 맛을

매콤한맛으로 싸악 넘겨주기 때문에 무척 훌륭해요

I order Norang Tongdak a lot 'cause it's one of my favorite chicken franchise,

and I always order it half-Kkanpung, half-Fried(basic).

It's the best combination so far, the balance between Kkanpung Chicken's spiciness and the basic Fried Chicken is perfect!

 

 

If you choose to eat in instead of ordering delivery, they also give you the Salad and Chicken Moo(Pickled radish)

 

 

Half Kkanpung half Fried again!

 

 

 

I strongly believe that Korean chicken is the best chicken in the entire world

It's not because I'm Korean!

From the sauces, numerous franchise brands, hundreds of menus; it's just right!

One small thing is that it's rather pricey.
